Facilities Coordinator
Job purpose:
The Facilities Coordinator ensures Optus Stadium remains safe, well-maintained, and ready for events. The role involves coordinating day-to-day maintenance and repairs, managing contractor access and approvals, and maintaining essential documentation such as permits and inspection reports. By working closely with internal stakeholders, the Facilities Coordinator helps prevent disruptions to scheduled events, keeps accurate records, and responds promptly and calmly to urgent facility issues.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate day-to-day maintenance and repairs across Stadium facilities.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure works do not disrupt upcoming events.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building regulations.
- Provide regular facilities and project updates to relevant stakeholders, as required.
- Manage contractor relationships, including overseeing access, inductions and work approvals.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, and service agreements.
- Respond to urgent facility issues with calm and efficiency.
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in Facilities or Project Coordination.
- Experience with working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Solid organisational skills including attention to detail, accuracy in reporting, and multitasking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Results driven with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with MEX Maintenance Software (desirable).
While the standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, the nature of the event industry means you will be required to work outside these hours, especially during events held at Optus Stadium and Stadium Park.
