About the Role
Anglicare is seeking a skilled and proactive Village Facilities Manager to oversee the operational performance and presentation of our village. In this vital leadership role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of facilities and asset performance, including property maintenance, contractor coordination, compliance, and the delivery of exceptional resident service standards.
Reporting to the Village Manager - Operations, you will lead the maintenance team and cleaning services, and ensure the village maintains high standards of safety, functionality, and comfort for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities and Asset Management
- Develop and implement an asset and life cycle management plan
- Establish preventative maintenance programs and ensure all compliance checks are completed
- Monitor reactive maintenance activity and manage related budgets
- Maintain high standards across building and common areas
- Work well with the grounds and garden site lead
Project and Operational Leadership
- Lead facilities-related improvement projects with minimal disruption to residents
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver service and system enhancements
- Identify procurement opportunities for operational efficiencies
Team and Contractor Oversight
- Supervise the internal maintenance team and oversee performance of contractor cleaning teams
- Recruit, onboard, and support team members with coaching and ongoing development
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, uniform, and conduct standards
Stakeholder and Supplier Management
- Maintain supplier contracts and manage performance against KPIs
- Facilitate ongoing communication with internal departments and external service providers
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with residents, staff, and contractors
What We’re Looking For
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Demonstrated success in managing large facilities within multi-service environments
- Experience with asset planning, preventative maintenance, and contractor oversight
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Tertiary qualifications in facilities/project management, building services, or business preferred
- Understanding of compliance frameworks, WHS, and property systems (archibus a bonus)
