Role Overview:
As a Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by understanding their needs, arranging services and monitoring their progress or changes in their health and mobility. A clients needs can range from emotional, financial, recreational, health, housing and social welfare matters. You will assist individuals to enable them to maintain independence and dignity in their own homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist social and welfare professionals in delivering support services to families.
● Provide direct assistance and guidance to families in need.
● Assess clients’ needs through interviews and evaluations.
● Develop and implement tailored support and educational programs.
● Conduct interviews to identify and understand family challenges.
● Monitor client progress and maintain accurate records over time.
● Refer clients to appropriate services and external agencies for additional support when necessary.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
●
o At least 3 years experience in aged care, disability, or community support roles
o AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma
o Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent (or working towards)
o Valid First Aid and CPR certification
o Current National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
o Valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
o Working rights in Australia
o A compassionate, reliable, and proactive approach

Annual Salary range:$68,000 to $75,000
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 – $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
