About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Disability Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, have previous experience in providing personal care, and hold a Manual Handling Certificate. Having your own car for transportation is essential. Previous experience in disability support or community care will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and daily living support to participants.
- Assist with mobility and manual handling, ensuring safety at all times.
- Support clients in accessing the community, attending appointments, and engaging in social activities.
- Promote independence, dignity, and quality of life for participants.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team.
Requirements:
- Female candidate (as per participant preference).
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in personal care.
- Current Manual Handling Certificate.
- Own car with valid driver’s licence and willingness to transport participants.
- Relevant experience in disability or aged care (highly regarded).
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 24 per week
