Supporting Abilities for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to join the team, located throughout South-East Melbourne.
- 52-year-old Female participant.
- Hallam location.
- Monday 7:30 am - 10:30 am, Tuesday 7:30 am - 10:30 am, Wednesday 9:00 am - 1:30 pm, Thursday, 7:30 am - 10:30 am, Friday 7:30 am - 11:00 am, Saturday 7:30 am - 12:00 pm, Sunday 8:30 am - 11:30 am. Possibility of additional shifts to be added.
- Motor Neurone Disease (MND) diagnosis and experience required.
- Manual handling/hoisting experience required and highly advantageous.
- Personal care experience required.
- BiPAP/NIV experience advantageous.
- PEG/PEJ feeding experience advantageous.
- Participant non-verbal, communication device experience advantageous.
- Tasks include: Assistance with hoist transfers, personal care, feeding (possibility of PEG feeding), medication administration.
- Support requirements expected to increase over time.
- Possibility for additional work with other participants nearby.
We are looking for a competent, enthusiastic and reliable Support Workers who possess the right empathy, interpersonal skills and ethics to prioritise the care of our clients.
Essential Selection Criteria (or willingness to obtain):
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee status/if working with participants <18 years of age).
- Valid Australian Driver’s License.
- A reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance (to transport participants).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Approximately $123).
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (minimum of two doses).
- The right to work in Australia.

Pay: $40.00 – $80.00 per hour
