About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated, experienced, and compassionate female Support Worker to join our growing team. This role involves working closely with clients who are non-verbal and considered high-risk, requiring someone who is calm, confident, and has a trauma-informed approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily personal care and emotional support
- Assist with communication strategies for non-verbal clients
- Implement positive behaviour support strategies
- Promote safety, dignity, and empowerment
- Maintain accurate records and incident reporting
- Engage in meaningful community participation and capacity building activities
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience working with high-risk individuals and non-verbal participants
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Strong understanding of behavioural support and trauma-informed care
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in challenging situations
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with complex needs
Requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid & CPR
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Working With Children Check (if applicable)
- Experience with non-verbal communication methods (desirable)
