About The Role
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing safe efficient mechanical services involving the repair, servicing and maintenance of Newmont Tanami’s Processing Fixed Plant. Equipment may include but not limited to Warman, Weir, Southern Cross pumps, conveyor systems , agitators, gear boxes and ancillary items.
In this role, you will
- Monitor and assess equipment performance.
- Adhere to the work management process, including, but not limited to, completion of daily time confirmation with the correct job numbers, accurate time recording and work history.
- Work efficiently and perform work to a high level of quality with sound organisational skills.
- Supervise and provide on-job training for apprentices.
- Perform the role of task lead during shut downs, ensuring work performed is completed safely and to a high level.
- Conduct workplace inspections.
About You
- Hold a relevant trade qualification.
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
- Experience in mining and processing industries.
- Computer skills with experience using SAP preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to analyse a task and understand safety and the job requirements.
