Fremantle Sailing Club is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Functions Supervisor to join our hospitality team. This dynamic role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering exceptional guest experiences at club functions, weddings, and corporate events.
We’re looking for a reliable professional who can lead from the front — coordinating setups, managing teams, handling guest queries, and ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the setup, execution, and pack-down of a variety of club and private functions
- Lead and support the floor team during events
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and last-minute requests
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and clients to ensure a seamless event experience
- Maintain RSA compliance and uphold club standards at all times
Essential Requirements:
- Approved Manager’s Card (Mandatory)
- Valid RSA Certificate (Mandatory)
- Previous supervisory experience in a club, hospitality, or functions/events setting
- Strong multitasking ability — able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — must be confident dealing with a wide range of guests and stakeholders
- Physically fit and able to assist with moving and setting up furniture and event equipment
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays
