The Role
As the Fundraising Coordinator - Community & Events, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting and delivering key national campaigns like the Vinnies CEO Sleepout and a range of state-based community fundraising initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will build and nurture relationships with Vinnies CEO Sleepout participants, community groups, organisations, and third-party stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage and Inspire: Collaborate on the planning and execution of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, including acquisition and retention campaigns, event logistics, and creative development.
- Lead with Impact: Implement a diversified community fundraising strategy to increase engagement in third-party fundraising. This includes establishing an online web portal for community fundraisers, participating in third-party sporting events, and working with internal stakeholders to support their community fundraising needs.
- Support and Coordinate: Work with internal stakeholders to ensure the success of Vinnies Community Sleepout events, including stakeholder management, fundraising support, and event logistics.
- Build Relationships: Manage a number of key stakeholder relationships across fundraising campaigns to ensure cross-pollination and increased lifetime giving.
- Deliver Excellence: Assist with event planning and logistics, ensuring seamless execution and providing high-quality customer service and supporter experiences.
- Analyse and Improve: Contribute to campaign reporting to evaluate success and identify opportunities for future campaigns.
This is a 12-month fixed term, full-time position (38 hours per week) based in our State Administration Office in South Brisbane.
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in fundraising, marketing, communications, or in a related discipline.
- 3+ years working in a related role with a strong track record of successfully managing projects and meeting targets.
- Experience working in the not-for-profit (NFP) sector, or a sound understanding of the NFP landscape.
- Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
