As the Governance and Planning Lead you will play a key role in developing, implementing and communicating RTWI program and governance frameworks, as well as reports for internal and external audiences including the WorkSafe Board committees and government departments. The role will also have oversight of RTW Innovations engagement activities, including developing workshops and leading events to support internal communications of the delivery of the program.
- $148,113.00 per annum + superannuation
- Full time, 12 month fixed term position
- Wadawurrung Country / Geelong (Hybrid working model – 3 days per week in the office)
This role is based in Geelong CBD, however hyrid working arrnagements between our Melbourne and Geelong offices will be considered upon progression of application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direct management and/or support for business planning, budget cycle, internal audit and change management
- Develop, operationalise and maintain the RTW Innovations framework, processes and tools for Pilot, Grants and Strategic Projects
- Explore the use of the most appropriate regulatory levers and tools to achieve the outcomes required
- Lead the prioritisation and development of the RTW Innovations Program including the Pilot, Grant and Strategic Project streams
- Conduct research and analyse available data including proposals developed by stakeholders to inform decision making

About you
You will be a Project Management Practitioner with demonstrated experience in developing and implementing project management frameworks and processes. Desirably you will also have a Project Management certification (i.e. Prince 2, PMBOK, waterfall or agile delivery methods).
You will also have a strong background within governance along with risk and issue management. Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills will also be a key strength of yours along with the ability to manage complex projects within a fast paced and dynamic environment.
You will also possess:
- Sound understanding and knowledge of WorkSafe and operating framework
- Experience developing, managing and improving project management and governance frameworks including policy, compliance and risk processes'
- Experience in providing strategic, authoritative advice in a complex operating environment
- Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills including the ability to recognise emerging issues of importance
- Experience developing communications artefacts including presentations for stakeholder forums
