A bit about the role
In this role you will ensure that grant opportunities available to the City of Casey are utilised and managed effectively, meeting compliance obligations. The role is responsible for the day-to-day use and maintenance of the grants management system in TechOne including data entry, document management, tracking of milestones and reporting.
This includes high-level support and advice to internal stakeholders and managing the grants system in line with funding body requirements.
This a part time role, 30.4 hours per week, which can be worked across 4 or 5 days, including Tuesday and Wednesday at Bunjil place.
What you’ll deliver
- Investigate grant programs and opportunities, collating information for distribution internally and to the community.
- Provide support, advice and resources to internal staff around Council’s grant seeking processes and submission of grant applications.
- Track and manage grant milestones and support staff to ensure Council’s compliance and effective management of grant funding agreements, milestones, financial reporting and acquittals
- Manage data and reporting in Tech One including migration of data, development of dashboard reports and system enhancements.
- Be the first point of contact for external funding bodies and Council staff to collect and interpret project and financial information to assist with the coordination of reporting obligations
What you’ll bring
- Substantial experience in grants management processes including monitoring funding applications, grant data, financial reports and funding body obligations.
- Highly developed project management, administrative, financial, and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationship and links across a range of internal stakeholders.$1
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience managing grant obligations in Government will be highly regarded
- Strong time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
