The Gym & Fitness Supervisor is the main staff presence on the Gym Floor at all times. This role is vital to the smooth running, and safety of the Gymnasium.
In the role, you will work across a 7-day roster – aligning with Country Club hours
Key Responsibilities will include:
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to gym members by greeting them, answering inquiries and assisting with any needs or concerns they may have.
Facility Monitoring: Regularly patrol the gym floor, tennis courts and swimming pool areas to ensure a safe and clean environment. This includes monitoring equipment usage, enforcing gym rules and policies and reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
Equipment Assistance: Offer guidance and assistance to members in properly using gym equipment, ensuring they understand correct form and technique to prevent injuries.
Fitness Consultations: Conduct initial fitness consultations with new members, assess their fitness goals and needs and provide basic guidance on workout routines and equipment usage.
Personal Training Support: Assist certified personal trainers with client sessions, including setting up equipment, spotting, and providing general support.
Group Fitness Support: Assist group fitness instructors in setting up classes, ensuring proper equipment availability, and assisting participants as needed during classes
Safety and Emergency Response: Maintain knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures, including basic first aid and CPR, to ensure member safety in case of accidents or medical emergencies.
Membership Sales and Promotion: Actively engage with potential members, providing information about membership options and promotions and assisting with sign-ups and membership inquiries.
YOUR BACKGROUND
A passion for customer service and helping clients achieve their fitness goals
Minimum Cert III & Cert IV with 12 months prior experience in fitness industry and conducting group fitness classes
Organized and Effective Time Management Skills
Basic to intermediate level ability to Microsoft Suite and other systems
Up to date First Aid certificate including CPR
Blue Card
