About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) as a Clinical Haematologist, contributing to the delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH). You will focus on managing patients with haematological conditions — particularly those requiring cellular therapies — through both direct care and the supervision of a multidisciplinary team, including fellows, registrars, RMOs, and nurse practitioners. Your contribution will help drive quality improvement, innovation, and best-practice care in alignment with CALHN’s commitment to service excellence.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as contribute to clinical and translational research within the department. While participation in the after-hours roster is not required, your involvement in fostering a collaborative team culture and promoting optimal service outcomes will be key. Applicants with a qualification in haematopathology and a strong research background are highly regarded. Prospective candidates are encouraged to contact the unit head for further information about this rewarding and impactful role.
About You
You are a dedicated and experienced Clinical Haematologist who brings a high standard of clinical care, strong professional integrity, and a commitment to patient-centred practice. You thrive in multidisciplinary team environments, support continuous learning, and are passionate about contributing to quality improvement and clinical teaching.
Qualifications & Credentials – You hold an MBBS (or equivalent) and Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Clinical Haematology (or equivalent), with ongoing participation in continuing professional development.
Clinical & Professional Expertise – You demonstrate excellence in haematology practice, with a solid foundation in patient care, particularly within multidisciplinary and teaching hospital settings.
Teamwork & Adaptability – You bring strong collaboration skills, a flexible approach to change, and a commitment to working constructively in dynamic healthcare teams.
Commitment to Quality & Education – You have experience in clinical teaching, actively engage in quality improvement initiatives, and maintain a clear understanding of patient rights and responsibilities.
