Joondalup Resort is a complete leisure, corporate and tourism venue in the northern suburbs of Perth, with award winning facilities both on and off the golf course.
We are looking for a casual handyman to join our team.
The handyman is responsible for the general repairs and maintenance of all areas of Joondalup Resort.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in monitoring and completing requested maintenance
- Perform basic maintenance works (licensed trades to perform all essential electrical and plumbing works)
- Dismantle and install furniture, mirrors and white boards etc, as required
- Perform cleaning duties as required to maintain facility standards
- Coordinate and assists with departmental and employee moves
- Patch and paint as required to maintain facility standards
- General joinery duties, including installing locks and hinges to doors
- Update the computer maintenance log (basic computer work)
- Liaising with onsite contractors for work being carried out
- Assisting contractors to ensure smooth deliveries, correct sign in / inductions and procedures are implemented and recorded.
- Review and oversee site inductions and OHS procedures. Ensure strict compliance at all times from visitors, staff and contractors
- Pick up parts and supplies as required (company vehicle available)
- Assist with maintaining building security and respond to building emergencies 24-7
- Standardize products and fittings to increase efficiencies and reduce the number of suppliers and stock required
Position Specifications
- General all-round Knowledge of the construction industry
- Good understanding of construction plans
- Good understanding of OHS & PPE requirements
- Good Physically Fitness
- 3-4 days a week, on a flexible roster including some weekend work
