Payments Technology & Operations brings together the process, people and technology assets powering the money movement of 40% of the Australian economy through market-leading products, services and digital experiences.

As Head of Engineering for Domestic Payments, you will work closely with the Domestic Payments Crew Lead to deliver exceptional outcomes for our business stakeholders and customers. You are responsible for the technology strategy, engineering and delivery of world-class products, leveraging the best engineering practices to deliver once-in-a-generation transformational change in Payments.

You’ll define the technical strategy and reference architecture for the team and then execute against an ambitious technical roadmap to realise the vision. You have a genuine interest in Payments and enable the business strategy to be realised.

You’ll understand the need and approach to achieve exceptionally high availability, delighting our customers through system performance whilst managing technology risks and technology debt buy-down. You’ll be constantly keeping up to date on industry trends and ensuring the team are utilising emerging engineering practices to execute to exceptional quality at a high velocity.
