  • Lead and optimise the organisation’s debt sale strategy to maximise recoveries and minimise risk.
Vendor & Partnership Oversight:
  • Manage key partnerships with outsourced debt collection agencies and third-party recovery providers.
  • Establish performance metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), and compliance standards for external partners.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure alignment with strategic goals and regulatory expectations.
  • Risk Management & Analytics:
  • Analyse delinquency data and performance trends to identify ongoing opportunities for strategy optimisations and operational efficiencies
  • Ensure robust governance and controls are in place for all collections-related risk activities.
  • Monitor portfolio performance versus budget and produce required committee and board reporting and insights
Regulatory & Compliance:
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable Australian and New Zealand laws and regulatory guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with Credit Risk, Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams to align collections strategies with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and risk committees.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a small team of risk managers / analysts.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a numeric discipline or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in credit risk management, with a strong focus on collections and recoveries.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful collections strategies in a financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors or outsourced service providers.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements related to collections and credit risk.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
