The Head of Growth is a key leadership role responsible for end-to-end growth strategy and execution for OKX Australia. This role ensures that customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and advocacy drive OKX’s user adoption, revenue, and brand leadership objectives.
This position requires a strategic, data-driven leader who can implement the 5 As Growth Framework (Awareness, Acquisition, Action, Affinity, and Advocacy) to build a highly engaged and loyal customer base. The Head of Growth will also play a critical role in product localization, ensuring OKX’s offerings are optimized for Australian users.
Key Responsibilities
360° Growth Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a full-funnel growth strategy
- Ensure growth initiatives align with OKX’s global vision while being localized to meet Australian regulatory and user needs.
Product Localization & Market Expansion
- Work with Global Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to localize OKX’s product offerings for Australian users.
- Define product-market fit strategies, ensuring OKX’s trading features, fiat-to-crypto integrations, and institutional products cater to Australian retail, wholesale and institutional investors.
- Oversee go-to-market strategy for localized product launches, ensuring seamless execution of new feature rollouts, promotions, and user education initiatives.
Scaling & Optimizing Growth Channels

Own the strategy for scaling performance marketing channels, including:
- Affiliates, search marketing, paid social, lifecycle marketing, and traditional media (audio & video).
- Partnerships, influencers, referral programs, and community engagement.
- Continuously optimize marketing spend and allocation, ensuring maximum reach, engagement, and conversion.
- Ensure lifecycle and retention marketing initiatives increase user engagement, trading volume, and long-term retention.
Data-Driven Performance & Market Insights
- Gather, analyze, and leverage market data and user insights to optimize growth strategies and campaign effectiveness.
- Implement and maintain a rigorous incrementality-based measurement approach to assess marketing effectiveness and ROI.
- Develop scalable user acquisition models, utilizing A/B testing, attribution modeling, and predictive analytics to refine campaigns.
Brand Awareness, Affinity, Advocacy & Distribution
- Build and strengthen media relations in Australia, securing positive brand exposure and reinforcing OKX’s market leadership.
- Drive thought leadership and strategic brand-building initiatives, ensuring OKX remains top-of-mind among retail and institutional investors.
- Develop community-driven advocacy programs, leveraging influencers, power users, and organic word-of-mouth marketing.
- Lead content distribution strategies to maximize reach across owned, earned, and paid media channels, ensuring OKX’s presence is amplified across key platforms.
- Partner with news, fintech, and crypto media outlets to ensure consistent, high-impact brand visibility.
- Oversee social media growth strategies, ensuring OKX maintains a strong, engaging digital presence.
Internal Stakeholder Management & Global Coordination
- Act as the key liaison between OKX Australia and global growth, product, and compliance teams, ensuring alignment on strategic priorities.
- Secure global resources, product support, and strategic backing for Australian growth initiatives.
- Ensure growth efforts align with OKX’s compliance and regulatory frameworks, maintaining leadership in regulatory transparency.
Budget & Resource Management
- Oversee and manage budget allocation for all marketing channels, ensuring efficiency and ROI-driven investment decisions.
- Establish clear performance benchmarks, tracking marketing spend effectiveness across all paid, organic, and owned growth initiatives.
Leadership & High-Performance Culture
- Foster a high-performance, results-driven growth culture, ensuring speed, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Build, mentor, and lead a world-class growth team, aligning them with OKX’s global and local strategic objectives.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Sales, Compliance, and Global OKX Teams to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives.
What we're looking for:
- 10+ years in growth, marketing, or business strategy roles, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
- Proven track record driving full-funnel growth (acquisition, activation, retention, advocacy) in crypto, fintech, trading, or financial services.
- Experience localising global products for the Australian market and working closely with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams.
- Strong background in performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, brand building, and community advocacy programs.
- Data-driven leader with expertise in growth analytics, A/B testing, and ROI optimisation.
- Strong stakeholder management, team leadership, and ability to drive results in fast-paced environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Deep understanding of crypto exchanges, blockchain, or digital assets is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, commercial acumen, and strategic mindset.
