A new opportunity has become available for a proactive, experienced and strategic thinking Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner.
As a key member of the HSW team consisting of a Workers Compensation Coordinator, Injury Management Specialists and Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partners, you’ll be responsible for providing support across all aspects of Catholic Healthcare’s HSW strategy, policy, and practice.
Reporting to the HSW Manager & partnering with key stakeholders across the business to support and promote a strong safety-first culture, you will play an integral role within the busy HSW and large broader HR team. In this hands-on role, your professional writing ability together with your solution focussed mindset and exceptional communication skills, will aid in your success and your expertise in all things Health, Safety and wellbeing will be recognised and valued.
Your days will include;
- Ensuring that the highest standards of safety are met across the organisation
- Support front line leaders & employees to enable implementation of CHL’s Safety Management System across all levels of the organisation
- Facilitate & complete hazard identification activities, operational risk assessments & other compliance activities such as audits
- Contribute to the development & implementation of key health, safety & wellbeing initiatives and programs
- Assist in the establishment & rollout of key safety initiative education & awareness programs
- Complete incident investigations & assist to identify & implement corrective actions
- Assist in the roll out and administration of the new CHL incident, hazard and risk management database
- *This role will also involve some travel to Regional NSW
- Diploma or Cert. IV HSW or significant demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Experience in conducting safety inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Comprehensive knowledge of WHS Legislation and Codes of Practice
- Experience in delivering education and training programs
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within a team to achieve deadlines and targets
- Previous experience within Human Services/Health Care or Aged Care industry - Advantage
- Own Vehicle and full Drivers Licence (km's reimbursed)
- Willingness to obtain a Police Check
