About the Role
Sydney Water is seeking a proactive and compassionate Health & Wellbeing Specialist to lead the development and implementation of health and wellbeing programmes across the organisation. This vital role plays a key part in fostering a safe, inclusive, and mentally healthy workplace for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and wellbeing programmes that address psychosocial hazards, promote resilience, and support business outcomes
- Conduct psychosocial risk assessments and coach leaders in identifying and controlling psychosocial hazards, and managing mental health risks across varied teams
- Design and maintain policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure a consistent, compliant approach organisation-wide
- Deliver training and education on psychological health and safety to enhance awareness and capability
- Use data and key performance indicators to evaluate programme effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
- Provide expert advice on wellbeing risks and trends, guiding culture change and embedding initiatives into the Work Health and Safety Management System
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering occupational health and wellbeing programmes in complex, high-risk organisational environments
- Proven ability to design, implement and evaluate company-wide wellbeing frameworks and initiatives
- Strong strategic thinking, programme management, and analytical capability with a solution-focused approach
- Extensive knowledge of WHS legislation, psychosocial risks, and health and safety compliance
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, influencing, and cultural change skills across all organisational levels
- Exceptional communication, advisory, and data interpretation skills with a strong customer service ethos
Essential Requirements
- You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role.

- A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Flexibility to travel across Sydney Water sites as required.
