Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is expanding its Emergency Medicine Department and is seeking to appoint an additional 2 Staff Specialists in Emergency Medicine. About Armidale Rural Referral Hospital
Armidale Hospital is a ninety -nine bed facility providing a comprehensive range of services including acute medical and surgical services, obstetrics, paediatrics and a range of diagnostic and allied health services. A busy emergency department, a Level 3 Close Observation Unit, mental health unit and renal dialysis unit. The referral community of the area is 55,200. Adult Medical services include respiratory, cardiac, chemotherapy, renal and palliative care. Surgical services include general, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology and ophthalmology. The hospital is a spacious, modern and well-equipped with the most recent development opening in 2019. Medical students undertake clinical placements and attend teaching at the clinical school which is exceptionally well resourced with simulation laboratories and tutorial rooms.

- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist (Emergency Medicine) and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
2. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine at the role delineation of the service.
3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
4. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
6. Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
