About the Role
We are seeking Home Care Employees to join our Home Care team in the following regions:
- Inner West
- Canterbury Bankstown
- St George area
The Home Care Employee is responsible for providing person-centred care to ANHF’s home care consumers to meet their identified needs; enable residents to enjoy optimal independence at home, and provide transport, domestic assistance, companionship and personal care needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Personal care (such as showering or bath, shaving, cutting nails dressing & PAC, etc);
- Domestic assistance, such as cleaning, laundry work and cooking
- Transport services
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other staff from ANHF
- Provide effective updates to HCAs and RNs regarding changes in consumers' health conditions and care needs.
- Maintain documentation on residents as required.
Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidates should possess but not be limited to the following:
Essential:
- Must have tertiary qualification of Cert III in Individual Support, or equivalent/above
- Able to communicate in Cantonese
- National Police Clearance.
- Valid Australian work rights
- Experience in home care settings
- Evidence of good team building, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to write simple reports in either Chinese or English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of WHS, EEO, and anti-discrimination legislative requirements.
- Up-to-date COVID vaccinations
- Current driver licence and a fully insured vehicle
- Valid First Aid Certificate
Desirable:
- Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse populations.
- Experience in using Radaro app.
