Your Future Role
Alstom is seeking a talented HR Manager on a 15-month max-term contract for the QLD Services Product Line. Reporting to the HR Business Partnering Lead for ANZ and APAC, you’ll provide expert guidance to frontline leaders and drive the Alstom People Plan. This role offers a unique opportunity to hone your generalist HR skills in employee relations, industrial relations, talent attraction, retention, culture, diversity, and development.
This position is located out of our Milton office, with weekly travel to Wulkuraka (minimum 2 days) and rotational days at Bowen Hills, Milton, and Southport offices.
We'll Look to You For
- Designing and implementing strategies to enhance diversity and inclusion across projects.
- Providing credible advice aligned with legislation, company policies, and procedures.
- Supporting managers through the full people management cycle, including succession planning, performance reviews, development plans, and salary reviews.
- Developing and implementing change management plans to support business transformation.
- Building strong relationships with line managers and employees to address their needs and deliver tailored HR solutions.
- Driving the Performance Management Cycle, including annual/semi-annual reviews, merit increases, and development planning.
- Maintaining accurate HRIS data and generate employment-related documentation.
- Supporting HR initiatives focused on diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within HR.
- Assisting with EBA negotiations and industrial relations matters.
All About You
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Proven HR experience, preferably in industrial, maintenance, or operational industries.
- Strong generalist HR expertise across all areas of people management.
- Demonstrated experience in change management.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills to drive change.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Australian labour, social, and employment legislation.
- Strong communication skills, solutions-focused mindset, and passion for innovation.
- Digital proficiency, financial acumen, and comfort in a fast-paced, high-interaction role.
