Join our team at one of Darling Harbour’s premier Chinese dining destinations, known for our unique setting, high-volume service, and exceptional food experience. We’re seeking a proactive and experienced HR Manager to support our growing team and streamline our HR systems — on a flexible, part-time or contract basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of hospitality and can help us build a strong team culture, ensure compliance, and support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Maintain compliant HR policies and procedures (Fair Work, Restaurant Industry Award, WHS)
- Provide guidance on performance management and employee relations
- Lead initiatives to improve staff culture, communication, and retention
- Manage employee contracts, HR files, and confidentiality protocols
- Support payroll and timekeeping accuracy in collaboration with management
- Develop clear SOPs for HR and staff management suitable for a 100-seat, high-volume restaurant
About You:
- 3+ years of HR Manager or Advisor experience, ideally with hospitality exposure
- In-depth understanding of Australian employment law, awards, and Fair Work compliance
- Warm, approachable, and solutions-focused with excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- HR qualifications and/or AHRI membership a bonus
