The Role:
We are looking for energetic and experienced Hydrotesting technicians to join our team for an immediate start.
Role : Monday to Friday - 10hr days
Duration : 6 months with potential of getting extended
Responsibilities:
- Be able to determine from drawings and work packs the correct test pressure and choose the correct test gauge.
- Able to perform pressure testing of pipes and vessels to expose possible leaks and serve as a final validation of the integrity of the system.
- Operate, observe and read pressure and temperature gauges and charts.
- Read and understand Isometric Drawings and have the ability to identify issues with ISO and package structure.
- Have an understanding of ASME codes.
- Assess own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, specifically in hydro testing, chemical cleaning, and oil flushing.
- Excellent understanding of mechanical systems, including testing and flushing equipment.
- Strong safety focus with the ability to follow and promote safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing work environments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well with others and report progress effectively.
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Current trade qualifications and any relevant certifications (e.g., confined space, working at heights) are highly regarded.
