- Location: McKell - Sydney, for at least 50% of the working days in a fortnight. Flexible working arrangements available.

The role is to work with the Category Manager to manage all of government contracts and schemes in key Telecommunication Categories. The right candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will help them build strong relationships with a wide array of stakeholders and vendors.

- Partner with stakeholders in procurement category planning, and manage Supplier performance
- Contribute to the development and implementation of category management plans and strategies that yield superior value for money outcomes by leveraging aggregate demand across the sector
- Analyse business needs, commercial risks and supply markets to inform category planning and provide governance, advice and guidance to internal stakeholders to build expertise in the telecommunications category function
- Provide expert advice and support for creation of all-of-government agreements and panels such as Telecommunications Purchasing Arrangements
- Engage supply markets and internal stakeholders positively to achieve effective communication to meet category objectives
- Analyse all internal and external procurement information to effectively develop supply base strategies for telecommunications category
- Provide support for pricing, catalogue reviews and contract re-negotiation
- Provide guidance for agency stakeholders looking to procure products and services contracted under the panel scope
- Contribute to development of benefits realisation plan for the telecommunications category and track benefits
- Demonstrated stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Planning, project management and research skills
- Substantial experience in contract management and leading performance reviews with suppliers
- Category specialist skills in ICT categories or large areas of expenditure
- Experience in ICT category and preferably in Telecommunications industry
- Understanding of NSW Government legislation, procurement policies, framework and processes.
- Developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Analytical skills to understand various business contracts, work on large disparate spend data and spreadsheets
- Communication and influencing skills- in particular the ability to prepare written reports and provide guidance
