- This role is permanent part-time and range 40hrs/fortnight.
- The internal job title for this role is IKEA Food Co-worker.
- The shift times required to work will be spread between 7:00am to 9:00pm weekdays and weekends.
- You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

- If your application is progressed, you will be invited to attend an in-person interview with the hiring team.
- Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with food standards by keeping it clean and organised.
- Food preparation and cooking with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.
- Operating the industrial dishwashing machine and sorting cutlery.
- You must be comfortable standing and working at the sink, as this is where your main duties will preside.
- Prioritising strict cooking timelines and multi-tasking under pressure during rush hours.
- Using your IKEA Food knowledge to exceed customer expectations, confidently answering their questions so they can make informed purchase decisions.
- Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation.
- High customer-centric approach as you will focus on ensuring our customers have a positive dining experience.
- Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is essential.
- Prior commercial cooking experience is required for this role.
- An energetic and team-focused approach as this department can become extremely busy.
- Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
