  • What you need to know:
    • This role is Permanent, Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
    • Applications close Thursday 19th June 2025
    • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).

  • Together as a team

    As an IKEA Food Team Leader, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Supporting that all co-workers have the necessary support, coaching and mentoring so they can exceed the needs of IKEA customers and develop professionally.
    • Maintaining IKEA Quality and Food Safety Standards, producing and dating food according to specifications complying with HACCP standards and ensuring compliance training is kept up to date throughout the team as well as ensuring daily operational routines and actions are implemented.
    • Ensure that both the Commercial and Operational areas of the Food department is efficiently maintained as well as clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
    • Actively sell our IKEA Food products that customers love and find creative ways to merchandise and drive sales.
    • Strong ability to support and lead change management within the department and the wider store.

  • As an IKEA Food Team Leader you are:

    • You are an inspirational leader and impassioned foodie (with a particular love of meatballs) demonstrating love and commitment to food, its quality and presentation while always ensuring customers are in focus.
    • You are a true customer advocate who takes pride in the service and product you deliver and can influence and communicate effectively on all levels.
    • Within a largely operational role you still lead, support, coach and mentor co-workers in your team so they can grow professionally and continue to meet our customers with empathy and care.
    • You possess competency in computer skills including all Microsoft Office products.
    • Possessing a Food Handlers Certificate Course and/or experience working with HACCP standards will be highly regarded.
    • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve set KPIs.
    • Passionate about understanding the customer journey, and how you and your team support in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.
    • Ability to think creatively and bring fresh ideas to existing business practices with a focus on continuous improvement.
