About the Role
The Research Development Lead is responsible for conducting and coordinating Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs research in line with the direction of the Integrated Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug (IMHAOD) services across the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD).
The position will guide and support the service to build on the research capacity, capability and culture by actively seeking funding opportunities and supporting clinician led research. The role will provide high level advice to the IMHAOD Medical Director and IMHAOD Senior Leadership Team (SLT), on the development and implementation of research capacity building programs and state-wide and national initiatives relating to Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs research.
The Research Development Lead will also be responsible for working collaboratively with key stakeholders and external organisations to develop an IMHAOD research strategy that promotes, engages and leads partnerships with a range of health, education and research organisations and program.
Location negotiable within the Mid North Coast Local Health District.
About You
We are looking for someone who has extensive relevant research management experience in a large and diverse service industry organisation as well as experience in conducting high quality research, research and innovation funding and publications that include translation of research outcomes into clinical practice or policy. You will need a proven record of achievement of health service delivery leadership and innovation with extensive experience in communicating complex research of clinical ideas/concepts to a diverse audience.
