Independent Committee Member - Nominations, Remuneration and Board Governance Co

Are you an experienced governance professional passionate about ethical leadership, strong board performance, and purposeful strategy?

RSL Queensland is seeking an Independent Committee Member to join our Nomination, Remuneration and Board Governance Committee – a key advisory body supporting the Board on matters including:

• Board composition, appointments, and succession planning
• CEO remuneration and performance
• Organisational remuneration frameworks
• Culture, capability, and people-focused KPIs
• Board and Committee evaluation and development

This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills in governance, human resources, and remuneration strategy to an organisation with a proud 100+ year history of supporting veterans and their families.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a values-aligned professional with:

• Proven governance expertise (e.g. Board or Committee-level experience)
• Strong understanding of director appointment processes and board evaluation
• Knowledge of remuneration strategy and organisational performance frameworks
• Experience in the not-for-profit or public sector (highly regarded)
• Familiarity with ACNC Governance Standards (advantageous)
• AICD membership or formal governance or remuneration credentials (desirable)
