Boeing is currently seeking to recruit an Industrial Relations – Australian Lead to be based 100% onsite in our Melbourne location. The successful candidate will be the primary on-the-ground industrial relations focal for all of Boeing Australia as well as a critical member of our International Labor Relations (ILR) team.

This critical role offers a great mix of strategy and "hands-on" work, for a passionate person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who takes pride in their relationship-building and facilitation skills.

Your ability to think strategically in the context of the whole Boeing enterprise and strong stakeholder engagement will make you a strong candidate for this position.

You will utilise your industrial relations experience and insight to ensure sound and proactive industrial relations practices are maintained and aligned with our strategic objectives.

You will drive effective communication and engagement with employees while also supporting Enterprise Agreement negotiations. You will be responsible for the company-wide IR strategy, ensuring compliance with labour laws, fostering positive employee relations, and interfacing with all relevant unions to ensure the successful delivery of Boeing projects.

Due to the International nature of the role and business as a whole, there may be the requirement to support after hours meetings and calls, however flexibility is encouraged. Some domestic travel will be required.

About the Role:

Providing sound, pragmatic advice and guidance to the business on industrial relations matters; including the interpretation and application of industrial instrument

  • Take carriage of and provide advice and guidance to the business on the management of disputes and workplace issue

  • Lead the planning, preparation, management and execution of EA negotiation
  • s
  • Support management in their dealings with representative Union
  • s
  • Work on various regional and international projects in support of the ILR tea

  • Lead and support business transformation/change project
  • s
  • Liaise with internal legal counsel for the drafting of employment/industrial documentatio
  • n
  • Drive, coordinate, and administer the organisation’s consultative forum
  • s
  • Develop and facilitate training for first line Managers in conjunction with the broader human resources tea

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Minimum of 8 years experience in an industrial relations or similar role in a large, complex organisatio

  • Proven experience in supporting and advising on organisational transformation and change program
  • s
  • Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and other relevant employment/industrial law
  • s
  • Proven experience in understanding and interpreting EAs and award
  • s
  • Substantial experience in dealing with unions and employee representative

  • Ability to think strategically in the context of the whole enterprise and strong stakeholder engagemen
