We are a well-established Australian manufacturing company based in Brendale, Queensland producing an extensive range of extruded and injection moulded products for the building, health, mining and retail sectors.
We currently have an immediate opportunity available for an experienced Plastics Die Setter/Operator with solid knowledge of injection moulding machines to join our production team.
This role is based on our Afternoon Shift (2:00 pm – 10:00 pm), with a training period on Day Shift to get you fully up to speed before moving into your regular afternoon hours.
Responsibilities
As a Plastics Die Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for preparing, setting up and troubleshooting a range of injection equipment.
You’ll need the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, following procedures to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality at all times.
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Applying your technical background in die setting
- Sharing knowledge and supporting team skill development
- Performing injection moulding set-ups and troubleshooting
- Responding to faults and breakdowns promptly
- Conducting machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Inspecting product quality, diagnosing issues and applying corrections
- Running trials with new dies and equipment
- Completing die changes efficiently and reducing changeover time
- Packing goods
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Injection moulding troubleshooting
- Strong ability to problem-solve with accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in plastic manufacturing industry
- Current Forklift licence
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and management
- Reliable and committed to delivering efficient, high-quality work on time
- General knowledge of WHS policies and procedures
