Sydney, New South Wales
Full time

About Us:
Anglicare Sydney is a leading and highly regarded community NFP organisation in Australia.
Our vision is to see Jesus Christ honoured, lives enriched and communities strengthened. To achieve this, we are looking to attract the most capable and mission aligned people to join us.
For over 160 years Anglicare has been serving people in need- providing care to older people and services to the vulnerable. We began because of people who saw a need in the community and who were compelled to make a difference. People motivated by Christian love and a passion to serve. If this describes you, we would love to invite you to join us!
Anglicare Sydney is looking for a talented Instructional Designer to join our team on a full-time maximum-term contract (12 months) and help us bring clarity, consistency, and accessibility to our Service Delivery Framework.
  • Are you passionate about creating engaging and impactful content?
  • Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your work makes a real difference?
As an Instructional Designer, the purpose of this role is to create clear, engaging, and role-relevant content that helps all staff understand what we do, why we do it, and how they contribute. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our values and service models are not just documented, but lived through practical, user-friendly communication across our sites.
Specific Accountabilities:
  • Dive into existing service-related documents to identify overlap, gaps, and areas for simplification. Create clear, role-specific content that supports team understandings of broad frameworks like spiritual care, hospitality, and resident engagement. Develop modular, bite-sized content suitable for microlearning, onboarding, or quick reference.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate content and ensure accuracy and usability. Lead content quality across service delivery projects, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Tailor communications for different audiences, from maintenance and hospitality staff to team leaders and support office functions. Support storytelling and internal engagement efforts that link daily tasks to our broader vision, mission, and values.
  • Empower document owners to upload and maintain documents on the staff intranet or similar platforms, ensuring accessibility and version control.
Key Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in content development, service documentation, knowledge management, or learning design inclusive of relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to create practical, user-focused materials to support service delivery or internal operations.
  • Confidence using digital platforms to draft, structure, publish, and manage content.
  • Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on clarity, accessibility, and tone appropriate to diverse staff roles.
  • Ability to interpret complex frameworks and translate them into simple, role-relevant language and tools.
  • Skilled in working with digital publishing tools like SharePoint, intranet CMS, and Microsoft 365.
  • Comfortable collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, from frontline teams to senior leaders.
  • Organised and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Familiarity with human-centred design, adult learning theory, or behavioural insights.
  • Background in aged care, retirement living, community services, healthcare, or hospitality (desirable).
Benefits:
  • NFP salary packaging benefits - reducing your taxable income by $15,900 plus an additional $2,650 for salary packaging accommodation, meals, and entertainment.
  • A staff rewards program that gives you discounts from over 400 retailers.
  • Fitness Passport with access to over 800 gyms Sydney-wide
