If you’re an experienced Insurance Representative ready to put purpose behind your work, we have exciting permanent opportunities to join our passionate and highly engaged Member Services team. Reporting to the Insurance Claims Manager, you’ll play a critical role in delivering a seamless, compassionate, and compliant claims experience. Working within the broader Experience team and alongside internal stakeholders, you’ll help ensure every claim is managed with care, accuracy, and integrity.
What You’ll Do
- Assess and approve death, terminal illness, and permanent incapacity claims in line with relevant legislation and policies.
- Review insurer-declined claims, participate in review meetings, and advocate for fair and just outcomes for our members.
- Collaborate with partners and internal teams to ensure insurance and claims administration is timely, accurate, and compliant.
- Identify trends, risks or issues and proactively escalate or resolve them.
- Manage workflow and competing priorities to finalise claims efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date claims documentation, templates, and registers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance both processes and the member experience.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in a similar role, insurance/claim management/administration (ideally within superannuation or insurance).
- Strong knowledge of insurance settlement processes, superannuation law, the SIS Act, and RG146 compliance.
- Sharp analytical skills — able to interpret data, identify trends/areas of concern, and make well-informed decisions.
- High level of compassion and excellent communication skills — you can explain complex decisions with clarity and care.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with members during challenging, emotional times.
- Strong organisational skills — you’re calm under pressure, with the ability to juggle tasks without compromising quality.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced).
- Qualifications in law, business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
