WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
About the Team
The Inventory Analyst will report to the Inventory Planning Manager and work in close collaboration with Production, Warehousing and Procurement driving performance improvement and efficiency across the business. The Inventory Analyst will provide the business increased clarity and improved reporting tools.
About the Role
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the analysis and management of inventory to ensure the materials are properly identified and recorded in SAP-ERP system. In this role, you will be developing standards, metrics and scorecards for RDA. The Inventory Analyst must work collaboratively with materials team and master data team to identify all data & report requirements early to ensure information is available on time.
The general and generic duties of the Inventory Analyst includes, but is not limited to:
Analyse Demand for Materials:
- Conduct demand analysis of materials across multiple LAND projects, including analysis of turns and obsolescence, to determine strategies for managing inventory, including MRP parameters.
- Analysis to identify and actively reduce surplus or obsolete stock (SLOB).
SAP Material Master Data:
- Support SAP material master data team includes: manufacturer’s part number, batch/lot number, dangerous goods flag, expired life data, serial number, preferred supplier, supplier lead time, and MRP.
- Analyse data and ensure that master data is accurate and current.
Inventory Performance:
- Develop and monitor KPI’s for managing inventory.
- Monitor inventory performance and implement corrective and improvement actions as required.
- Identify and manage risks associated with poor inventory performance.
- Develop management reports on performance of key inventory data.
Administration:
- Strong stakeholder management skills; in particular communication, influencing and negotiation skill-sets
- Fulfil other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with your manager from time to time.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field or equivalent working experience;
- Strong ERP systems experience in the area of inventory (SAP);
- Experience in inventory (analysis, forecasting, master data) in similar roles and/or environment;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to interrogate data;
- Excellent MS Excel capabilities (Pivot tables, V-lookups as a minimum);
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
