Job Description
We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer (IT Infrastructure) who’s ready to engineer the systems that power our organisation, from the ground up. In this dynamic role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain the core infrastructure that drives AFCA’s digital operations, including cutting-edge work in the AI space. You’ll blend back-end muscle with front-end finesse to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across cloud, network, server, and application layers.
This is your chance to bridge infrastructure and development disciplines including automating, optimising, and future-proofing our tech landscape. If you thrive on solving complex challenges and want to empower a business with smart, seamless technology this could be your next move.
Typically, in this role you will:
- End-to-End Development: Deliver full stack solutions using Python, NodeJS, React, and TypeScript across new and existing tech stacks.
- Smart Automation: Build and maintain scripts for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using Python and Ansible, with CI/CD integration.
- Seamless Integration: Collaborate across teams to ensure infrastructure and applications work in harmony, implementing APIs and middleware for smooth cross-platform functionality.
- Knowledge Sharing: Keep documentation sharp and up-to-date, and support knowledge transfer across teams.
- Project Delivery: Drive infrastructure projects from planning to execution, translating technical solutions into business value.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education and Qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure tech—virtualisation, networking, servers, storage, and cloud platforms like Azure or GCP.
- Coding Skills: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, and full-stack development.
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to architect automated solutions and integrate infrastructure with application environments.
- Familiarity with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.
