Applications are invited for the position of Classroom Aide in our Joshua Centre, from passionate and caring individuals with a strong commitment to Christian education. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting personalised, interest-driven, and strengths-based learning, and will have experience working with autistic learners.
The Education Support Classroom Aide will assist and support the classroom teacher, working under their direction. They will help build an effective learning environment by working with teachers to support a differentiated curriculum that meets varying learning styles and provide individualised or small group instruction.
The Joshua Centre opened in 2022 and is a special purpose built educational facility for autistic students. The Joshua Centre is located within the Tyabb Campus and provides a differentiated learning program and universally designed environment, to cater and support to differing sensory profiles. We seek to see autistic students not just survive, but instead thrive, be bold and courageous in their learning, social connection and wellbeing in order to live a full and purposeful life.
