What are we looking for?
Join our Perth office as a qualified Lawyer / Associate in our specialised Workers’ Compensation practice.
Being part of our well-established Workers Compensation team nationally, you will work with clients who have sustained a workplace injury or contracted an illness at work. Our clients can be entitled to a range of benefits and compensation under the Workers Compensation Scheme, and as part of the team, you will understand and empathise that suffering a workplace injury can present major hurdles to overcome. You will support and guide clients through every step of the way with care, understanding, flexibility and support. You will take care of the legal needs, so your clients can take care of their recovery.
As a Lawyer/Associate, you will work closely with an established team across a range of matters and take carriage of a file load. You will have the opportunity to supervise, monitor and mentor junior lawyers and legal support staff reporting directly to you. You will be required to manage and strengthen existing referral networks and client relationships, along with initiating and building new ones. This is an opportunity to work with some incredibly talented and likeminded team members.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Providing clear, practical and concise legal and commercial advice
- Providing a tailored approach to clients to understand the context of their matter
- Identifying practical and innovative solutions for clients
- Maintaining and building new client relationships for the practice
- Providing exceptional service to clients
What will you bring?
To be successful you will have:
- Previous practising experience in personal injury law with a passion for Workers compensation
- Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills
- Exceptional negotiation skills and an ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
- Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
- Ability to listen to, and empathise with clients and their families
- Ability to exercise judgement & resolve problems expeditiously & satisfactorily
- Superior organisational skills
