Who we’re looking for
Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Operations, Australia,The Lead Site Supply ChainServes as a trusted operational business partner, overseeing the commercial aspects of Sustaining Capital Sourcing and Site Contract Management. The role emphasizes enhancing contractor safety, ensuring value-for-money, and driving performance by assisting contract owners in managing third-party services. This position upholds commercial governance and supports site priorities through robust contractor partnerships and disciplined commercial practices.
This is an on-site role offering flexible roster options for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with site-based teams including Maintenance, Operations, Projects, and HSS to align contractor engagement with business needs and safety expectations.
- Align contractor engagement with business needs and safety standards.
- Partner with contract owners to ensure commercial awareness, contract compliance, and effective supplier relationship management.
- Support leaders in embedding robust commercial practices.
- Coach and guide on contract scope, onboarding, and relationship management.
- Drive cost, schedule, and value outcomes through strategic initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate the sourcing strategy for sustaining capital projects, ensuring alignment with site engineering, maintenance, and project teams.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing processes efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and standards.
- Oversee contract lifecycle and monitor supplier performance.
- Manage contract variations, renewals, and disputes effectively.
- Maintain accurate contract registers and documentation.
- Ensure commercial awareness and compliance across operations.
- Guide on scope development and supplier engagement.
- Facilitate supplier performance reviews and continuous improvements.
- Build capability in contract management practices.
- Degree in engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in procurement, contract management, or commercial roles.
- Experience in industrial or capital-intensive environments.
- Strong understanding of capital project sourcing, commercial negotiation, and contract law.
- Deep knowledge of sourcing and procurement best practices coupled with advanced negotiation strategies and techniques.
- Expertise in supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency with SAP Source To Contract.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Subject Matter Expert for sourcing, supplier management, contract management, and procurement.
- Knowledge of regional sourcing/procurement regulatory requirements.
- Applying best practices for regional/local specific requirements.
- Analyzing market data and identifying trends.
- Translating insights into actionable sourcing strategies.
- Capturing and communicating cost savings and cost avoidance principles.
