At Holy Cross Services (HCS) we are looking for experienced Leading Hands to join our Cleaning Services Team full-time at Mater Hospital site. The successful candidates will be responsible for sustaining a hygienic environment and delivering high quality cleaning service to clinical and non-clinical facilities to exceed the specific Service Standards, whilst providing hands on leadership and guidance to Cleaning Services Employees.

About The Role
· Lead a small team of 1 to 10 employees
· Undertake general cleaning of areas of the hospital, including offices, floors, corridors, stairwells and toilets, as directed by Cleaning Services Supervisors.
· Routine and reactive cleaning as required
· Maintain hygiene standards to ensure effective infection control
· Ensure adequate stock levels of cleaning materials are available for use
· Understand and apply safe work practices
· Responsible for the care, upkeep, and maintenance of HCC equipment
· Flexible movement across the organisation to provide operational support when required
About you
· Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
· Proven ability to lead a small group of staff
· Ability to work effectively and without supervision
· Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands
· Demonstrated experience in and understanding of Infection Control & Safety standards and commitment to safe practices
· Committed to customer service and meticulous attention to detail
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and to remain calm in emergencies
· Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.70 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 38 per week
