We’re seeking an emerging academic with expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship to join our internationally recognised Newcastle Business School. This continuing position offers the opportunity to contribute to a School with a clear strategic direction, strong industry connections, and a globally engaged Faculty committed to supporting your academic growth.

The Role

In this role, you will be supported to deliver excellence in teaching, research, and engagement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching innovation and entrepreneurship across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • Contributing to curriculum design with a focus on authentic learning experiences.
  • Publishing impactful research in leading journals (ABDCA*/A, Q1), with demonstrated potential to attract competitive funding.
  • Building industry partnerships that enhance research relevance and student outcomes.
  • Co-supervising PhD students and contributing to the School’s research culture.

This permanent full-time role is based at NUspace (Awabakal land), with opportunities to teach across other campuses as required.

  • A PhD in innovation, entrepreneurship, or a related field
  • A developing track record of high-quality publications and national research recognition
  • Experience in curriculum development and student-centred teaching
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to academic service and engagement

  • Involvement in grant applications in innovation and entrepreneurship
  • Engagement with industry stakeholders that informs research and teaching
