About the position
The successful appointee will play a key role in the ongoing development and enhancement of the curriculum within the Tourism and Event Management discipline, drawing on their area of expertise.
The appointee must have experience in teaching management and will be responsible for coordinating and delivering subjects at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, ensuring that content remains current, engaging, and aligned with industry standards.
In addition, the appointee will actively foster and maintain collaborative relationships between the School and relevant industry partners, helping to strengthen professional connections and enhance student employability.
A further expectation of the role is the pursuit of scholarly research that contributes meaningfully to the advancement of learning and teaching practices within the Tourism and Event Management discipline, supporting innovation and academic excellence.
Skills and Experience
- PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas.
- Demonstrated competence in teaching, subject coordination and curriculum development.
- Evidence of innovative initiatives undertaken in the last three years that have improved the
- student experience, and the evaluation of effectiveness of these initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SoLT).
