The Lending Specialist is responsible for delivering efficient and accurate member service across a range of relationship management functions, with a strong focus on identifying and fulfilling lending needs. Through face-to-face and phone interactions, the role supports customers by understanding their financial situations, offering tailored solutions, and actively cross-selling Qudos Bank products. What you will be doing
- Deliver end-to-end lending support, including home loan conversations, application processing, and compliance with lending principles.
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders through effective communication and a customer-first approach.
- Actively manage a portfolio of customers, uncovering their financial needs through in-depth conversations and tailored solutions.
- Assist members across multiple channels with lending enquiries, document preparation, valuations, credit checks, and loan funding.
- Promote Qudos Bank products and services, making outbound calls and recording sales pipeline activity to follow up future opportunities.
- Support branch operations by achieving lending targets, maintaining service standards, and ensuring accurate cash and digital banking transactions.
- Use technology such as video conferencing to meet with customers and manage documentation efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, statutory requirements, and complete all required training within designated timeframes.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive workplace by reporting WHS incidents and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as directed by Management.
What you will bring
- Adequate experience and sound understanding of lending and credit principles.
- Strong customer focus, with the ability to actively listen, respond to needs, and deliver tailored financial solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and connect meaningfully with customers and colleagues.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence using digital tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a solid grasp of web-based systems.
- A growth mindset, adaptability to change, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
