Role Description/Criteria
St John Vianney’s is seeking applications from enthusiastic and suitably qualified teachers for a specialist Library/ Digital Technology position (0.6), commencing in Term 4, 2025. The working days are Tuesday- Thursday. The position may become ongoing in 2026.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- a willingness to support the values and ethos of Catholic Education
- a passion for Literature and Digital Technologies
- strong ICT skills and pedagogy around Google applications
- the skills and abilities to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience
- a collegial, team-based approach to learning and teaching
- a sound understanding of learning in an EAL community
- strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- knowledge in the Science of Learning and Science of Reading (favourable but not essential)
- sound knowledge and understanding of Religious Education within the Primary School
- the ability to build positive supportive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- initiative and a commitment to ongoing Professional Learning
- an understanding and commitment to Child Safety.
The successful applicant will have:
- VIT registration
- a current Police Check
- RE Accreditation or a willingness to complete
- a current First Aid Certificate
