MACHINE OPERATOR – REO STEEL | Afternoon Shift with OT!

- Shift: Afternoon – 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM
- Rates: $40.25/hr + OT + 1 Hour Guaranteed Overtime daily @ $52.50/hr

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Machine Operator with a solid background in the steel or construction manufacturing sector to join our high-performing afternoon shift team.
If you’ve worked in the REO steel industry and know your way around benders, or automated cutting machines – this is your chance to secure ongoing work with a strong pathway to permanency.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operating REO steel machinery for cutting, bending, or shaping reinforcement products
- Handle materials and finished products.
- Handle and stack steel products safely and efficiently
- Monitoring equipment for optimal performance and making basic adjustments
- Performing quality checks and adhering to job specs
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Supporting the team to meet daily production targets
- Work as part of a team to meet production targets
- Assist with general factory and housekeeping duties as required
- Overhead gantry crane experience, or Forklift Licence (advantage)
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in REO steel or related manufacturing industry
- Confident operating heavy machinery or steel processing equipment
- Physically durable and comfortable with manual handling
- Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions
- Safety-focused with a strong work ethic
- Full working rights in Australia
- Willing and able to work 3 PM – 12 AM + overtime when required
