About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drafts person/Project Administrator to join our team. This dual role involves drafting and project coordination, ensuring our projects are delivered accurately, on time, and to client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate structural steel shop drawings and fabrication plans using Advanced Steel.
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to develop fabrication-ready details.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and workshop teams to clarify design requirements.
- Assist in scheduling, tracking, and coordinating project timelines and deliverables.
- Prepare, update, and manage project documentation.
- Support procurement processes by compiling material lists and liaising with suppliers.
- Ensure all drawings and project records meet compliance and quality standards.
Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in CAD drafting (e.g., Advanced Steel / Tekla, or similar).
- Strong understanding of structural steel detailing.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Previous experience in a steel fabrication or construction environment is highly regarded.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
