Join Our Team at Lancemore Milawa | Casual Maintenance Officer
Located in the heart of North East Victoria’s King Valley wine region, Lancemore Milawa is a 40-room boutique hotel known for warm hospitality, relaxed luxury, and exceptional guest experiences.
We’re currently seeking a hands-on Maintenance Officer to help us keep the property looking and functioning at its best. This casual position offers 2–3 days per week (up to 5 depending on business needs) and is ideal for someone with solid handyman or painting experience who takes pride in their work and enjoys a varied day.
About the Role
Working closely with our General Manager and wider team, you’ll be responsible for general repairs and upkeep across the hotel. You’ll also coordinate with external trades when required—but mostly, you'll roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform minor maintenance and repairs (e.g. lighting, plumbing, painting, patching)
Monitor the condition of guest rooms and public areas, identifying issues before guests do
Maintain tools, workshop area and materials in a clean, safe and orderly condition
Coordinate external contractors as needed, ensuring works are completed to standard
Respond promptly to guest-related or urgent maintenance issues
About You:
Strong handyman or trade skills and practical experience with tools and maintenance tasks
Positive, “can-do” attitude with a keen eye for detail
Organised and methodical approach to your work
Clear, timely communication and a team-first mindset
Ability to see things through the eyes of a guest
Hotel or hospitality venue experience is a plus
Knowledge of OHS, legislation or trade qualifications highly regarded
