About the Role
This is a flexible, on-call role suited to a skilled all-rounder who enjoys variety in their day. You’ll receive job orders for general property maintenance and guest-related callouts across our portfolio of homes in Daylesford, Hepburn Springs, and surrounding areas.
Workload will vary depending on the season and guest activity, so the role is ideal for someone already offering handyman services with capacity for extra work, a semi-retired person looking to stay active without the commitment of full-time hours, or anyone with the right skills and experience who has flexible availability and can take on maintenance jobs as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- General maintenance and repairs (e.g., toilet seats, light bulbs, locks)
- Pressure washing (decks, exteriors, windows)
- Minor plastering, painting, and regrouting
- Stacking firewood
- Guest support (Wi-Fi, smart TV setup, gas log fireplaces)
- After-hours or weekend callouts (occasional)
Requirements
- ABN (Australian Business Number)
- Public Liability Insurance ($10M–$20M coverage) – Certificate required before work begins
- Your own transport and equipment
- Good communication – updates and photos of completed work sent via SMS or email
Rates & Invoicing
- Standard hourly rate: $50–$60
- After-hours rate (from 11pm): $75/hr
- Jobs are billed based on time spent at each location
- Invoices to be submitted for each individual job
- All invoices are paid by Dayget on behalf of property owners, so you only need to invoice us directly. Payments are made promptly on a fortnightly basis.
