Teys Australia is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team at the meat processing plant. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, contributing to the overall efficiency of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on meat processing machinery and equipment.
- Overhaul and troubleshoot pumps and other components as required.
- Perform fault-finding on package machines.
- Demonstrate medium to strong hydraulic and pneumatic experience with a focus on fault-finding.
- Utilize welding skills in TIG, MIG, and ARC processes.
- Possess experience in overhauling pumps.
- Hold a trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter.
- Previous experience in food processing plants under pressure conditions.
- Current driver's license.
- Further education in automation and robotics is highly regarded.
- Work within a meat processing facility, with exposure to blood, noise, temperature variations, and production-related odors.
Working Hours and Benefits:
- Full-time position based on a lifestyle roster.
- Minimum 40 hours per week with reasonable overtime where applicable.
- Hourly rate ranging from $48.30 to $62.37 with a $1.21 tool allowance per hour.
- Lifestyle roster provides additional earning opportunities through overtime and cover shifts.
- 200 hours of annual leave allocated for employees on the lifestyle roster
