We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Handyman to perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks across residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in general maintenance, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to upkeep and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general property maintenance and repairs (indoor & outdoor)
- Repair or replace doors, locks, flyscreens, taps, handles, and light fittings
- Basic carpentry, plaster patching, and painting touch-ups
- Tile regrouting, caulking, and sealant application
- Fix leaks in toilets, sinks, and other minor plumbing issues
- Assemble furniture or fittings as required
- Install or repair small fixtures and fittings (e.g. shelves, curtain rods, mirrors)
- Conduct safety checks and report larger issues to relevant trades
- Keep work areas clean and remove debris after completing tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role
- Strong practical skills across multiple trades (basic plumbing, carpentry, tiling, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic tools and equipment preferred (depending on role agreement)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $199.60 – $436.27 per day
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
