About the Organization
Autism Community Care Services (ACC) is a specialist service provider, supporting people from five years of age and above with Autism. Since our inception we have supported people with a disability through adult programs, before and after school programs, school holiday programs, community and in home supports. We also provide Supported Independent Living 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round.
To work with ACC, you need a great attitude towards your role as a support worker, fantastic communication, ability to build rapport, and an exceptional awareness of your duty of care.
We are seeking 3 reliable and dedicated MALE Disability Support Workers to support our participants with mental health and/or seizures. Therefore, anyone applying preferably would have experience dealing with mental health or seizures and medication for seizures.
About the hours
Shifts are available from 4-8 hours, morning, day and night, 7 days a week. Hours are available for weekends and school holidays.
Sleepover night shifts are available 7 days a week. These are inactive shifts.
There are consistent hours available for suitable applicants, up to 30 hours per week or more, however you must be able to work with all our participants from mild to complex needs and available to do overnights.
Job Types: Casual
Salary: $38.00 – $45.00 per hour if you have a Cert III in Individual Support (Disability). Higher rates apply for night and weekend work.
Skills & Experience
- Transferrable skills in providing care and compassion to the participants
- Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts with participants requiring different levels of support
- Willingness to work at various locations on the Central Coast, although mainly at The Entrance
- Experience with seizures a preferable or MENTAL HEALTH (schizophrenia, PTSD)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective team player
- Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or lived experience

Criteria
- Have a Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencing
- COVID-19 considerations: All NDIS Workers are required to be fully vaccinated or medically exempt.
- Be willing to provide a NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) Clearance
- Be willing to provide a current Police Check
- Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencing
- NSW driver licence-reliable vehicle (essential)
